Julian and Jena may have started Muni Coffee Company, but the real heroes of the story are the communities that produce the Muni coffees. Bringing consumers and producers closer together is at the heart of the Muni dream.
Promoting Philippine Specialty Coffee
Did you know the Philippines consist of just over 7,000 Islands – depending on whether you count during high or low tide! But what’s more important (at least to us) is that in the high mountains of the Philippines some of the world’s most awesome coffee is growing.
When Jena (Filipina) and Julian (German) got started on their coffee journey their vision was to create a place that can encapsulate Filipino spirit and culture. Little did they know that they would step into an exciting adventure of roaming up and down the Philippines in search for the best coffee, making friends with the amazing people they met along the way. It is their stories Jena and Julian want to share through every cup of Muni coffee.
Philippines used be the second largest exporter of coffees in the 1800’s and, after a pushback in the 19th century, remains largely unknown to most even in the coffee industry. Being a part of the farmers’ effort to bring their coffee back onto the specialty coffee map is what motivates Muni folk every day!
Jena and Julian are a married couple living in London. They are passionate about coffee, excited about opening the first ever Muni coffee shop in the next few months and thrilled you’ve decided to check out their website! Feel free to contact them any time.

We love all sorts of coffee, except mediocre one. We have found some of the world’s most exciting coffee in the Philippines, an origin that no coffee shop in London offers yet. We are pleased to offer our first single origin coffee online now!
